I got this bass a month ago, taking a chance on quality versus price--turns out to be pretty decent. I wanted to experiment with different sounds for recording, so I bought this bass and a Rogue mandolin and they both turned out to be a lot better than I thought they'd be.
The bass is made fairly well, it had a couple of high frets, but those were easily fixed. It's not very loud or very bassy, but it's good for playing while watching TV, sort of an exercise bass--when I go back to guitar, I can play more fluidly.
The real kicker is the built in pickup and preamp--with a good amp this little bass sounds a lot bigger while still sounding like an acoustic, it feeds back easily, but for low volume recording it's fine. The only real shortcoming I see is that it's 30" scale, and there aren't a lot of short scale bass strings available, let alone acoustic short scale strings.

I go this bass for my son. He has two electric bass and always wanted an acoustic. The sound is very good and freedom to move around without being corded to an amp is a great plus. Good sound, good feel. He loves it. Thank you.

I couldn't believe how good this played and sounded. Pulled it out of the box, tuned it up and it played great! What an incredible buy! I've played comparable instruments costing 10 times as much that don't sound or play better than this bass!
